Collective Worship

"Worship is the submission of all of our nature to God. It is the quickening of conscience by His holiness, Nourishment of mind by His truth, Purifying of imagination by His beauty, Opening of the heart to His love, And submission of will to his purpose. And all this gathered up in adoration is the greatest of human expressions of which we are capable.”

School Prayers

During our daily Collective Worship, children are invited to either join in with the school prayer or instead, spend that time to reflect on their day. Each Friday, we have our celebratory assembly where children from each year group are awarded with a certificate in line with our school’s vision of “Achieve, Believe, Care”.

Lunchtime Prayer

"Thank you for the world so sweet,

Thank you for the food we eat,

Thank you for the birds that sing,

Thank you, God, for everything.

Amen."

Home Time Prayer

"Hands together, softly so,

Little eyes shut tight.

Father just before we go,

Hear our prayers tonight.

We are all God's children here;

This is what we pray,

Keep us safe while dark is here,

and through every day.

Amen."

At Corfield we learn about Christian values and their importance in our daily lives.

Reverend Lisa is the minister at St Lawrence's Church. We visit the church several times a year for worship and to find out more about the church building.
